Dear Friend,

FOMCA hears daily from residents who cannot afford even the most basic living necessities,  resulting in the fact that veterinary care; including spaying and neutering their pets, becomes a low priority.

The Madison County Animal Shelter works hard year round to make a difference for the animals in this community through animal intake and adoptions. Their ability to house abandoned animals is extremely limited and when the numbers of unwanted animals exceeds their shelter’s capacity, euthanasia is an option.

FOMCA makes a measurable difference in the number of animals coming in to the county shelter because our most important community service is our Spay/Neuter program.

Cats and dogs are experiencing a longer breeding season that produces at least one extra litter of kittens and puppies per year. This means the animal shelter can quickly face overwhelming numbers of unwanted pets.

Year to date FOMCA has spayed and neutered 734 dogs and cats and we still have 3 more clinics this year and project adding at least 90 more animals for an estimated total of 824 spayed and neutered pets in 2018!

According to Madison County Animal Services, they have seen a noticeable reduction in the number of unwanted puppies and kittens, and strays too, as a direct result of FOMCA’s many programs.

Madison County has a desperate need for life changing animal services, and when you open your hearts and donate generously, you turn the stories of misery and suffering in our county into powerful stories of hope and kindness instead.

Our low cost Spay/Neuter clinics benefit everyone in the community and we run a Pet Pantry program for low income families. We also host low cost Vaccination Clinics and our popular Dog Training Classes are specifically designed to keep pets in their homes and out of the shelter.

When grant money is available we provide Veterinary assistance to as many people as possible with sick or injured pets. Dr. Sheldon of French Broad Mobile Vet utilizes our office as a temporary clinic almost every other week. Just by providing her with the space she needs FOMCA is helping to reduce the suffering of companion animals.

We can only continue to provide these lifesaving services with the help of animal lovers like you.

Send in your donation today or donate through our website with PayPal and know that the future of the animals of Madison County is brighter because of you.

Thank you for your compassion and generosity,
