Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, with an office in downtown historic Marshall, FOMCA works to reduce the number of unwanted animals in Madison County and increase their well-being.

FOMCA is proud to offer a number of area wide programs.  Vaccine Clinics, Spay-Neuter, Pet Pantry, Chain Free Madison, and many more to come.  Please click on the "Programs" menu at the top of the page for more details.

With Your Support In 2017 FOMCA: 
  • Neutered and Spayed 707 pets 
  • Gave out 12,329 lbs of pet food to pet owners in need of food assistance
  • Gave out 231 Flea and Tick treatments (topical)
  • 2016-2017 helped 105 animals who were sick or injured visit a veterinarian with a Veterinary Assistance Grant from the Banfield Foundation and the Western North Carolina Community Foundation. 
  • Held 5 vaccination and Microchip clinics that vaccinated 249 Pets.
Additional work done in 2016 and 2017 by two of our Board members - this is a husband and wife team that volunteer their time and efforts to rescuing, fostering and re-homing animals.
In 2017 this couple rescued, fostered and re-homed - (this includes vet visits when they are sick and transporting them to and from adoption events and Brother Wolf) 
  • 7 dogs  
  • 17 cats and 28 kittens (9 mamas with 42 kittens born while in their care)
  • Total dogs 7- Total cats 96
  • They transported 3 of those 7 dogs plus 85 cats and kittens to Humane Alliance for Spay/Neuter
In 2016 they rescued, fostered and re-homed - (this also includes vet visits when they are sick and transporting them to and from adoption events and Brother Wolf)
  • 11 dogs and 21 puppies - Total 32 dogs/puppies
  • 29 cats, 68 kittens (6 mamas with 27 kittens born while in their care)
  • Total 130 cats and kittens
  • They transported 16 of those canines plus 36 felines to Humane Alliance for Spay/Neuter
